Ich flieg vorbei, ich bin frei und schwerelos.

I keep finding these awesome Tanzy videos!

Here’s some videos from a rehearsal in Vienna, including bits of most of the main songs in the musical. The first Carpe Noctem soloist has a really powerful voice! (I I’m not exactly sure what he says, but the director makes a comment about singing “Fühl die nacht” like a cabaret singer…he’s kinda right.)

And yay, Marc! His Herbert really is growing on me more and more. The excerpts from the group songs also sounded gorgeous…oh, who am I kidding, it’s Tanz, everything is gorgeous.

(And I think the world might be ending - I didn’t actually mind Lukas’s voice here. Well, maybe it’s because he’s not acting, just singing.)

Let’s have more Tanz rehearsals. Here’s the Vienna cast practicing Tanzsaal. It’s odd seeing everyone out of costume (except Alfred), but I understand that his costume is the only easy one to make.

Tanz must be a nightmare for the costume department…

haguenite:

Basically it’s a good thing they got Willemijn for Elphaba, or I would’ve given up on this thing entirely.

Willemijn is a fucking BAMF, by the way. She’s done 700 performances in Germany and is now going to lead the Dutch production.

You get to dress up in fun costumes, you bite people, you scream a lot, you get cool teeth…I’ll tell ya, it’s a blast.

Drew Sarich describes what’s awesome about playing Krolock.

There are so many goodies on the Russian Tanz’s Facebook page. Check it out!
